The president of Ghana Lacrosse Association Evans Agyei Ntiamoah, on Friday, the 18th of April 2025, welcomed Michael Ferrick and his daughter, Delaney, from Boston - Massachusetts at the Kotoka International Airport after a successful equipment drive with OneLax - Spread the Love - a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting efforts that build lacrosse in communities.
An initiative which started with a warm email from a sixteen year old Griffin Ferrick of Medfield Senior High School will go a long way to support our mission to introduce lacrosse to 2,500 athletes this year under the #Lax4All #Lax4Growth & #Lax4Nature project. A significantly contribution was made to our Menstrual Hygiene Day and Lacrosse Program through the donation of feminine hygiene products. The meticulous project management led by Griffin's Mom, Brenna, and a team of selfless teenagers, Sarah and Ethan was remarkable.
Michael Ferrick was officially in Ghana to help commission the West Africa Institute for Special Surgery - WAISS Pain Clinic at Pantang West in Accra. WAISS is a premier surgical institute dedicated to delivering top-tier care to patients and families in West Africa and beyond.
Dr Kofi Owusu, an Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist at WAISS, who organized the medical mission, highlighted the mission of the facility and their vision to provide world-class pain management services to Ghanaians and the West African Region.
Whiles in Ghana, Rexford Koranteng of Discover Ghana, a trusted tourism partner, gave them an incredible experience around the amazing tourist attractions with emphasis on safety.
